Edinburgh Festival 2008

* * * * The List : Top 20 Things to See in Edinburgh
"
This atmospheric show is a great way to start your Fringe day."

"Great storytelling, bringing the kids, optional."

Edinburgh Festival 2003

The Scotsman : FRINGE FIRST WINNER 2003
*****
"Thrilling, terrifying, funny and intriguing ... The entire audience is jumpy and giggles gratefully at the humour that's scattered generously through the script. There's nothing gory, there's nothing frightening to see, but the cast manages to make our skin crawl by creating a sense of doom, with words, darkness and horribly disturbing noises. As we leave the audience is twittering with relief and glee, we're like a group of people who've survived a breathtaking rollercoaster."

The Sunday Herald : Edinburgh Children's Highlight
"
This ghastly tale of doomed Dr Crawley, told in the darkest venue beneath Edinburgh, takes advantage of short attention spans by following every horrific shock with a breezy inventive joke, skilfully goading the little ones into a state of spooky joy."

Audience Feedback

Ellie, Age 9: "...the funny bits were hilarious and the scary bits were spine-chilling. I would recommend it for the whole family. My rating: 10 outta 10. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!!!"

Anna, Age 10: "I thought it was a thrilling and exciting play and probably one of the best fringe festival plays I've ever seen ... scary enough to scare an elephant!!! If it could scare an elephant then it could scare me and it did!!"

Matthew, Age 7: "All my friends would love it ... It was spookily spectacular!"

Euan, Age 8: "... the scariest show I have ever been to. I would recommend it to all of my friends. I thought the play was absolutely great and it scared the wits out of me!"

Julia, Mother: "First class story telling and excellent acting build to a hair-raising climax with a minimum of props. An excellent show - I cannot recommend it highly enough."
