Roll up, roll up, roll up. The circus is coming to town! Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Saints and Sinners ... We present for your delectation The Brothers' Grimm: Ringmasters of storytelling, conjurors of the imagination, jugglers of spells. Enter the ring and let them tell you their stories. Swing through enchanted forests on a flying trapeze, tumble through the windows of majestic castles, tiptoe along cake crumbed pathways and walk the tightrope between good and evil. Let your mind run away with the circus. But be warned ... don't let the circus run away with you. A wildly theatrical open air theatre event performed by 60 young people from Bath in a 17th Century Ball Court. "They created a colourful, funny, dramatic evening. Their dramatic, gothic moral tales are perfect for an exuberant, imaginative young company. And they uncovered some extraordinary dramatic talent under the direction of Amy Leach. The sets, music, lighting and special effects all created and rehearsed in three weeks like the rest of the show matched the standard of the performers. The whole ensemble worked hard, on stage and off, and I suspect there are several stars of the future in this circus ring." Wiltshire Times "How absolutely spellbindingly fabulous is this Storm on the Lawn production of Grimm fairy tales. Writer and adapter Ollie Birch has taken these moral fables and given them a new twist with more than a dash of humour and lashings of symbolism, dance and music ... With a cast of 60 it is impossible to pick out more of the stars individually because this production directed by Amy Leach is a superb show from start to finish with spot-on choreography and timing. It's also very evident that all those taking part, whether backstage or out front, found it huge fun themselves their own verve and enjoyment just bubbles over. If you want to give your own kids a magical evening's entertainment, then this is the one that will enthral them, excite their imaginations and bring alive those old fairy tales in a new and thrilling way."
