The Iceberg tells the riveting and haunting story of a voyage to find the perfect iceberg in the depths of Antarctica. "The Iceberg is a fascinating tale, well-crafted." Queen Victoria rules the waves, and the British Empire flourishes. But one man wishes to discover something for his country which has not been conquered by force, blood shed or slavery. He wishes to find the perfect iceberg. Joined by an unlikely crew, he sets sail for far off waters, meeting a mysterious little girl who is not all she seems and who teaches him more about perfection than he could ever have imagined. The Iceberg premiered at the Royal Exchange in January 2008 followed by a UK tour and a run at Southwark Playhouse. The tour was generously supported by the Ernest Cook Trust and Lanternhouse International. We would also like to thank 3 sixty and the Royal Exchange Theatre for all their support. For everyone aged 9+. |
