The Ignatius Trail

Written & Composed by Oliver Birch
Directed & Produced by Amy Leach

Ignatius and his crew are the world's worst pirates. They hate fighting and thieving, preferring to spend their days writing poetry and sunbathing on the deck of their immaculate ship. But their peaceful lives become a nightmare with the arrival of terrifying Pirate Inspector. Things will never be the same again ...

"Not to be missed ... a tremendous musical adventure ."
* * * * * The Scotsman

A swashbuckling musical voyage to the dark and sinister depths of the Pirate Underworld filled with cut-throat combat, gruesome gags and cacophonous carousals.

The Ignatius Trail premiered at the Edinburgh Festival in 2004, selling out and winning a Fringe First. It has toured the UK twice, visited venues in Poland and Malaysia, been shortlisted for the Brian Way Award 2007 and revisited the EdFringe in 2005.
