A fluorescent voyage exploring the power of the imagination

"Earlier on today a woman rang the BBC and said she heard there was a hurricane on the way; well, if you're watching, don't worry, there isn't" Michael Fish, 15.10.87

1987: the year of shell suits, casio keyboards and the great storm.  A little girl's bedroom has been turned into a spaceship - a place to dream of astronauts, aliens and asteriods.  But there is a storm which threatens to destroy everything.  And only the little girl can stop it.  Can she make her spaceship fly and save the Universe?

SPACESHIP '87 is a fluorescent voyage exploring the power of the imagination, travelling through space, hopes and fears, accompanied by an 80s inspired soundtrack.

Spaceship '87 premieres at the Royal Exchange Theatre Studio in Manchester from 16th December 2009 until 2nd January 2010.
