The Toymaker is a malevolent musical about an evil toymaker and the havoc he wreaks with his destructive toys. When his menacing plans touch too close to home, a group of brave children led by the Toymaker's niece and nephew decide enough is enough and take matters into their own hands.
Exploring family relationships and violence through a riveting and bold story, this production promises to be a theatrical feast for the eyes and ears.
Development of The Toymaker began in June 2006 supported by the Royal Exchange and Arts Council North West. A work-in-progress performance was held at the Royal Exchange Studio Theatre, Manchester. This performance was attended by children from a local school alongside Programmers and Arts Professionals.
